Definitely the strangest character of Final Fantasy IX, Quina is a mysterious creature who lives in Qu's Marsh. Pretty much nothing is known about Quina, not least its gender (or indeed if it has a gender), but we think it's safe to say that it enjoys eating and cooking seeing as Quina is a chef by trade. It brings into the game the mini-game of frog catching, where items can be gained. You don't want to be near it when it is hungry, especially if you are a frog!
Battle Details
Quina's choice of weapon is a huge fork which enables it to Eat the enemy in order to learn their attacks.

BEATRIX
Beatrix is probably the best fighter in the game, excluding Steiner. She posseses remarkable power, and is definetely one whose path should not be crossed. You face her twice, and both times your HP is reduced to 1 when she uses her devastating Stock Break move. However, she soon realises that it is her duty to protect the Princess, and therefore the people who whe is with, so becoming another person on your side. She might just have other things on her mind though, as she sees Steiner through a completely new pair of spectacles...

KUJA
Kuja is using Brahne's control over her empire as a means to gain control of the world. He is producing Black Mage dolls to fight in a war against all of the neighbouring lands, including Lindblum. He uses other people's power against them, as you will see at the end of Disc 2. Certainly the bad guy of the game, and it is your main task to stop him reaching his ultimate goal, gaining control of Gaia, or the world they live in. Perhaps he bares a close resemblance to someone a bit closer to home...
